Carville’s Auto Mart is Challenging Community to Donate Food This Holiday Season

Where to Donate Food This Christmas 2016 Grand Junction CO

While we’re thinking about our friends and family, it’s also important to be kind to those in the community around us. We wanted to make sure that everyone has food on their table for the holidays by starting a community challenge for the local Food Bank. We will help you find out where you can donate food for Christmas 2016 in Grand Junction, CO.

We are doing what we can to help those in time for the holidays. When you donate food or money to one of our donation stops, we here at Carville’s Auto Mart will match your donations, up to $1,000. We will be collecting food and monetary donations at special events through Christmas Eve.

Follow our blog to learn about special upcoming events.

We understand that not everyone can donate, but every donation matters. If you wanted to donate, you will be able to drop off your donation of canned items anytime by us at Carville’s Auto Mart, located at 2507 Highway 6 and 50 in Grand Junction . You can also drop off a donation on Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Albertsons on Broadway and then Dec. 16, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Albertsons on 12th Street.

99.9 KEKB has more information about the food drive on their website.

What Does the Community Food Bank Provide?

For the past 38 years, the Community Food Bank of Grand Junction has been determined to feed those in need in Mesa County. Up to nine times a year, individuals and families can both receive necessary food from the Community Food Bank. The Emergency Food Box program is the main program of the Community Food Bank. Using their just-in-time order process, the Emergency Food Box program provides a two-day supply, featuring six meals per person, assembled and distributed based on the size of the family. Any current resident of Mesa County is eligible to receive a food box.

We want to ensure everyone can enjoy Christmas in 2016. We’d be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this donation challenge and how you can provide food to families in the Grand Junction CO area. Of course, if you have your eye on a car or RV this year, visit us here at Carville’s Auto Mart to schedule a test drive today.
