Holiday Tree Lighting

Downtown Grand Junction
Friday, Nov. 18 from 5 – 7 p.m.

As many of us know, it’s hard to wait until after Thanksgiving to start decorating for Christmas. In order to hold off decorating your own home, head to Main Street downtown for a holiday tree lighting ceremony this Friday. The Wells Fargo Christmas Tree as well as the rest of Main Street will be lit up in order to officially start the season. Santa will be there to visit with the children, and guests can also enjoy Christmas favorites performed live. This is definitely something you won’t want to miss to help get you in the spirit.

Turkey Trot 5K & Little Gobbler Run

Two Rivers Convention Center
Thursday, Nov. 24 starting at 9 a.m.

Those looking for a healthy way to kick off their Thanksgiving may be interested in participating in the annual Turkey Trot 5K held in downtown Grand Junction. This is an exciting year because there will also be a Little Gobbler Run, which is just a short dash down Main Street for the children. Participants will meet at 159 Main Street in Grand Junction, and the race will begin at 9 a.m. Strollers are welcome, but unfortunately pets are not allowed per the city ordinance.
