What are the Warranties Offered by Carville’s Auto Mart?

When buying a car or RV here at Carville’s Auto Mart, there are a few different warranty options to consider. So, what are the warranties offered by Carville’s Auto Mart?

At Carville’s Auto Mart, we offer three main warranty coverages through the American Assurance Corporation that help you stay protected against vehicle repairs: Value Mechanical, IFC and Premier Mechanical. This is in addition to separate GAP protection that is also offered, which picks up where your insurance leaves off. Though these coverage options have their differences, when it comes to the vehicle’s core function, the powertrain, each plan will have you well protected.

Powertrain

The three coverage options outlined below each provide Powertrain protection, which always includes the following:

  • Engine
  • Transmission
  • Transfer case
  • Drive axles
  • Seals and gaskets

value mechanical protection

Value Mechanical Protection

Along with Powertrain coverage, Value Mechanical Protection also includes Plus coverage. Plus coverage includes all components listed under the Powertrain coverage detailed above, as well as the following: fuel system, air conditioning, basic electrical issues, power steering and heating/cooling. Some of the additional benefits that are a part of Valve Mechanical Protection include 24-hour roadside assistance, covering: towing up to 50 miles, jump-starts, lockouts, fuel delivery and tire changes.

IFC Coverage

IFC Coverage

IFC offers the same essential coverages as Value Mechanical Protection and Powertrain Plus options.  The IFC Coverage Plan is offered exclusively to our in house financed customers through our buy here pay here lender Independent Finance Comany.  IFC Coverage does not have the additional benefit of the 24-hour roadside assistance that the Value Mechanical Protection Coverages have but is available at fraction of the price.

Premiere Mechanical Protection

Premier Mechanical Protection adds turbo/supercharger parts to the basic Powertrain coverage option. A level above, Select adds coverage for fuel system, A/C, basic electrical, power steering, brakes, heating/cooling, suspension, high tech components and seals/gaskets. A Premium option expands on this, covering all mechanical failures apart from certain exclusions. A Wrap coverage combines Premium and Select into one plan while excluding Powertrain coverage. Premier Mechanical Protection also has 24-hour roadside assistance, but with car rental and travel expenses (with limitations).

GAP Protection

American Assurance Guaranteed Asset Protection, otherwise known as GAP, covers the financial gap between the cash value of a vehicle and the payoff amount on the loan or the lease in case of a total loss. Some of the features available on both new and pre-owned vehicles through GAP include: terms up to 84 months and up to 150% of MSRP, protection for vehicles valued up to $100,000, covers losses to a maximum of $50,000 and coverage of the vehicle’s primary insurance deductible up to $1,000.
