3 Things to Do When Visiting Mesa County

At Carville’s Auto Mart, we like to keep our customers up to date with fresh ways to enjoy the Mesa County area. We have written blogs about local campgrounds near Grand Junction, fun swimming holes in the Grand Mesa area, snowmobiling trails and places to hike. Now we would like to shift toward three things that tourists should do when they visit Grand Junction, CO.

  1. All people who visit Grand Junction are strongly encouraged to visit the Colorado National Monument! Two shorter hikes we would recommend to visitors include Canyon Rim and Window Rocks Trails, which combine for a 1.8-mile hike that shows off Praying Hands and Independence Monuments, and the Serpents Trail, which is located near the Devil’s Kitchen and runs about 1.75 miles in and 1.75-miles out.
  2. Outdoor adventurers are sure to love the views at jaw-dropping Big Dominguez Canyon, which is about 20 miles south of Grand Junction in the Domingue-Escalante National Conservation Area.
  3. Grand Junction is within driving distance of a solid lineup of wineries and vineyards to experience. Just a few of these include Avant Vineyards, Garfield Estates Winery, Colorado Cellars, Mesa Park Vineyards and more.
