Grand Mesa National Forest

Grand Mesa National Park is one of the most beautiful spots in all of Colorado. This park doesn’t only offer one fishing spot, they have a multitude of scenic lakes to go fishing at. Two of their most popular fishing holes in Grand Mesa are Bull Creek and Bull Basin reservoirs. The lakes are surrounding by beautiful vegetation as far as your eyes can see. If you are looking for a great place to spend a day fishing, look no farther than Grand Mesa National Park!

Highline Lake State Park

Here there are two beautiful warm water lakes for people of all ages looking to get in quality fishing time. These lakes are nestled in a sprawling oasis surrounded by wildlife. Some of the fish anglers can catch here are largemouth bass, crappie, black bullhead, channel catfish, and even some rainbow trout in spring and fall!

James M. Robb Colorado River State Park

This park offers a wide variety of fishing opportunities for anglers of all ages. There are 100 acres of water to fish here, and three lakes Island Acres, Corn Lake and Fruita are all packed with trout in the spring and fall. These lakes are also stocked with largemouth bass, crappie, carp, bluegill, and sunfish. Each lake offers a different variety of fish, but they all over a great day of fun!
