With the weather starting to get nicer around the Western US, it\u2019s almost time for road trip season yet again! If you currently have an RV and are itching to get back out on the open pavement with your friends and fine china in tow, keep on reading for some of our favorite tips and tricks to prepare for an RV road trip!<\/p>\n

Make sure your RV is road-ready<\/h3>\n

RVs are a whole different animal than most vehicles on the road, and breaking down is not an option if you want to enjoy the journey. Make sure all fluids are topped off, suspensions are tuned right, and electrical systems are good to go. That\u2019ll give you that added peace of mind when you decide to head out!<\/p>\n

Pack plenty of food, drinks and essentials<\/h3>\n

This should go without saying, but when you\u2019re on the open road for longer periods of time, you start to get a little hungry. Plenty of snacks and meals should do the trick to keep everyone happy between visits to a restaurant. The same goes for clothes and essentials like toothpaste and shampoo. Realizing you forgot something halfway through your trip isn\u2019t fun, so in some cases it\u2019s not bad to overpack!<\/p>\n

Plan your trip to hit interesting spots and campgrounds<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re simply planning on heading from your location to your destination, you can miss out on some of the coolest sights and sounds that the country has to offer. Camping at an open state park can really help to rejuvenate you, and the natural beauty that\u2019s hidden in the Western U.S. is unparalleled. It\u2019s up to you to go and find it!<\/p>\n

Utilize RV-friendly resources for your trip<\/h3>\n

Just like semi trucks, there are some places on the road that RVs don\u2019t do so great with. Most GPS systems have built-in RV-friendly resources that can help you find routes that offer better height clearance and more stretches of straight, open road. Glorious.<\/p>\n
